Linguatest,the recently launched Russian foreign-language certification testing system developed by HSE University specialists, continues to develop and expand its geographic scope. Test centres are currently open in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod, and a new one is set to appear in Khabarovsk.

Strengthening and expanding partnerships between universities in different countries requires an increase in the number of specific joint projects in the educational, research, social and cultural spheres. In addition, it is necessary to expand academic exchange and student mobility programmes. The working session ‘University as a Global Citizen: Global Partnerships in Education and Science’ was heldas part of HSE International Partners’ Week.

Based on the results of a project competition, two new laboratories are opening at HSE University’s Faculty of Computer Science. The Laboratory for Matrix and Tensor Methods in Machine Learning will be headed by Maxim Rakhuba, Associate Professor at the Big Data and Information Retrieval School. The Laboratory for Cloud and Mobile Technologies will be headed by Dmitry Alexandrov, Professor at the School of Software Engineering.

The forum was held as part of HSE University’s International Partners' Week, which coincides with Russia’s chairship of the EAEU and is aimed at connecting the strategies and initiatives of its participants in the fields of education, science, and technology. The forum was attended by representatives from 23 countries and more than 40 scientific and educational organisations. The Faculty of Economic Sciences announces its annual contest to predict the winners of the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel in 2023. Participants can name up to three candidates.

From September 18 to November 19, the HSE ART GALLERY is hosting a new exhibition from the HSE Art and Design School: ‘Going Over Old Ground?’ Its curator is Alexandra Mitlyanskaya, artist and head of the Screen Arts and Video Art tracks at the HSE Art and Design School. Guests will see experimental cinema, video art, and animation created by students and graduates of the school.

HSE University and the National University of Uzbekistan have agreed to launch a mirror laboratory for the study of topical economic issues. The Protocol of Intent was signed by HSE University Rector Nikita Anisimov and NUU Rector Inom Majidov as part of the Interregional Conference for University Rectors of Russia and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
