Registration for the Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project for international applicants to Russian Master’s programmes is open until December 18. The competition consists of two online rounds. The first round is a portfolio competition.

On October 6, for the first time, Moscow hosted the Kyokushin Karate World Cup. The world tournament brought together athletes from more than 30 countries. HSE University participated in the event as one of the tournament’s newest official partners.

‘Why Isn’t the World Triangular?’: HSE Opens University for Kids
Begun in September, the joint project of HSE University and Moscow’s Polytechnic Museum traditionally lasts until May. Defending Personal Boundaries: How Birth Order Affects Children’s Psychological Sovereignty
HSE psychologists have studied how the presence or absence of siblings, as well as birth order, affect children’s ability to maintainpersonal boundaries. The results showed that only children and second-born children have the strongest sense of personal boundaries, while first-born children have the least. However, as children become adults, their ability to balance between their own needs and those of others becomes determined more by gender.
HSE Places Second Among Russian Universities in THE Humanities Ranking
HSE University improved its performance from last year, entering the Top-200 of the Times Higher Education (THE) subject ranking in Arts and Humanities. We now place second among Russian universities and have the best results of the participants of the Russian Academic Excellence Project 5-100.

HSE University to Open Faculty of Geography and Geoinformation Technology
HSE University is opening a Faculty of Geography and Geoinformation Technology in partnership with the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IG RAS). The Faculty, which will focus on global climate change, geoinformatics, and social geography, plans to launch its first bachelor’s programme in 2020.
