Researchers from HSE University studied the perception of social robots (robots that are able to communicate with people and assist them with various needs) in everyday situations. They studied the perception of such factors as the robots’ appearance, speech, interaction situations, as well as the respondents’ characteristics. The scholars found that androids are more desirable in various situations than humanoids (robots that only vaguely resemble humans).

HSE University is one of the best Russian universities (4th place) and consistently ranks among the top 150 best universities in the world (142nd place) according to the Three University Missions world ranking that has been published since 2017.

On September 4, the Road of Kindness charity run will take place in Gorky Park. Psychologists Sergey Andreev and Egor Surdeykin are both graduates of HSE University. The ICEF Summer Bridge School prepares students from various countries and universities for their master’s studies. It is a short-term summer programme for students of bachelor’s and master’s programmes who are planning to apply to the Master’s in Financial Economics at ICEF and similar master’s programmes at other universities in the coming year. The participants of this year’s School included students from Uzbekistan, Russia, Ghana, Azerbaijan, Italy, Armenia, Nigeria, China, Turkey, and others.
