HSE SPb Bachelor’s Economics and Master’s Finance Programmes Accredited by ACCA
The Bachelor’s programme in Economics and the Master’s programme in Finance at HSE in St. Petersburg have successfully gained accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Graduates of the bachelor’s programme will now be exempt from two and Graduates of the master’s programme, from four ACCA exams.

Number of International Students at HSE is Growing
August 5 marked the final deadline for applications from international students to HSE English-taught Master’s programmes starting September 2015. This year saw a radical growth in applications from abroad, with more than five times the number of applications from last year. At a minimum, every region doubled in terms of applications when comparing the 2015 cycle to the 2014 cycle. In Africa and Asia, the increase was even more staggering. Out of the roughly 800 international applicants to HSE English-taught Master's programmes, 196 students were accepted. The growth in the number of full-degree international students studying HSE is fundamental to the university’s overall development as a global university.

HSE Extends Admissions Deadlines to Master’s Programmes
The Higher School of Economics has extended the admissions deadlines for fee-paying places on its master’s programmes until August 5th, 2015.

This year, Panagiotis Sarantidis, from Greece, graduated from HSE’s International Business programme, headed by Irina Kratko. According to Prof. Kratko, foreign students’ motivations for choosing Moscow as a place to study are quite varied. Some of them intend to connect their future career with Russia, already having ideas to establish joint ventures here. Others, for example HSE students from the United States, have previously studied the Russian language, so their interest is perhaps rooted in the country’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
