Recently the HSE Higher School of Management welcomed a group of students from the Johnson School of Management, Cornell University, USA, which specializes in MBA programmes. Elena Yankova, Senior Lecturer of Management, Cornell University, and the head of the group, and Sergey Filonovich, Dean of the HSE Higher School of Management, told us about the study tour programme.

On May 23^rd the international symposium ‘Twenty Years: Political and Economic Evolution in Post-communist Europe’ started at the HSE. The event was organized by the Higher School of Economics with the support of the Liberal Mission foundation and the Friedrich Naumann foundation.

On May 23rd Craig Mundie, Chief Technical Officer of Microsoft, spoke at the HSE Faculty of Business Informatics. The title of the lecture was ‘More Like Us: Computing Transformed’. The event was organized by the Higher School of Economics together with Skolkovo Open University and Microsoft Company.

This year the Sociological Review journal celebrates its 10^th anniversary. Alexander Filippov, its Editor-in-Chief, Head of the Center of Fundamental Sociology, HSE Poletayev Institute for Theoretical and Historical Studies in the Humanities, told us about the mission, history and authors of the journal.

Peter Schmidt, Professor of sociology at the University of Giessen and a renowned expert in social psychology, who has become one of the heads of the HSE International Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Studies, told us about the plans and key research topics of the laboratory.
