The beauty of the modern pool of ideas in the field of education lies in its multiple approaches, as well as diverse and occasionally conflicting opinions. As the leading Russian journal on education,  Voprosy obrazovaniya/Educational Studies  offers a space for the professional community worldwide to engage in rich discussion.

Why shouldn’t you use public Wi-Fi to log onto your bank account? How should PR specialists talk to journalists? Why is continuing education a good idea even for those already considered established experts in their field? These are a few of the topics Mikhail Vasin, the Head of Corporate Communications for Russia and Emerging Markets at Kaspersky Lab and an alumnus of the HSE Higher School of Marketing and Business Development, discussed in an interview with HSE.

In March 2016, the School of Business Informatics (Faculty of Business and Management) at HSE was visited by a delegation from France’s University of Évry; in late 2015, a student exchange agreement was signed between HSE and this university. The delegation brought 19 students from the Master’s programmes in the field of big data at the University of Évry to Moscow.

Despite the recent arrival of new domesic brands in the clothing market, many Russians remain loyal to imports. However, using foreign-sounding brand names does not help Russian companies, according to Natalia Antonova, Associate Professor of the Department of Organizational Psychology and Head of the Psychology of Consumer Behavior Research and Study Group, and students of the HSE Department of Organizational Psychology Ajay Kumar, Maria Soloreva and Veronika Morozova, members of the Study Group.

On April 2^nd and 3^rd, 2016, an international student parliamentary debate tournament, HSE Open 2016, will take place at HSE.

The Higher School of Economics boasts several dozen dance studios. One of the oldest is the Sona Hovsepyan Dance Company, which has been operating at HSE since 2007. Correspondents for HSE News visited a modern jazz dance class at the studio, and heard first hand from students about how they manage to combine hobbies with their studies, and what future doing dance opens up for them.

This year, many students and staff of HSE in Moscow will change the location of their study and work. Instead of some sites in districts on the outskirts of the sity, the university is using buildings in the centre. In addition to that, faculty departments which are now scattered in various parts of the city will move closer to each other. This will allow lecturers and students to spend less time commuting.

The workshop on 'Health Economics in Russia: past, present and future?' was hosted by the International Centre for Health Economics, Management and Policy (CHEMP) of HSE Saint Petersburg on March 21, 2016 within the International Spatial Development Forum.
