At the beginning of November, HSE University’s Cultural Centre hosted HSE Unity Fest, a large-scale festival organised by HSE University’s Chamber of Nationalities. The event was attended by 33 national clubs of the university, whose representatives told festival guests about the traditions of different nations.

The signing of an academic exchange agreement between HSE University and the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil) is another important step in the development of international partnerships and strengthening academic ties between Russia and Brazil. ‘Cultural Exchange is an Important Element of Education’
On October 9, the TAULU&ADIGI UNITY DAY festival was held at HSE University’s Cultural Centre. It brought together students from different universities interested in the life of Caucasian peoples. Guests immersed themselves in the history and culture of different ethnic groups and tried national delicacies. The festival was organised by the university’s TAULU&ADIGI student community, which represents Karachai, Adyghe, and Balkar students at HSE University.
Results of the Contest to Predict Nobel Prize Winners in Economics
Claudia Goldin's award was predicted by five people. They are Olga Peresypkina (RSVPU), Anastasia Sirotina (first-year student of the Bachelor's in Applied Mathematics and Information Science at HSE University), Mikhail Shabanov (Global Vision Asset Management LLC), Tatul Hayrapetyan (PhD student at the Stanford Graduate School of Business), and Hemant Kumar (Ettumanoorappan College, Kerala, India).
Gold and Silver: Students of HSE Faculty of Computer Science Win Codemasters Code Cup
Students of the HSE Faculty of Computer Science Fedor Romanov and Bogdan Yandulov took first and second places in the finals of the all-Russian programming tournament for students ‘Codemasters Code Cup 2023’. The two were named the best among the 16 finalists who made it through the tournament’s online round.

On September 29, HSE University celebrated the birthday of its Perm campus. Teachers, researchers, department heads, graduates, and students all shared their warm wishes for their university. Eduard Sosnin, Mayor of Perm city and HSE graduate, expressed his certainty that ‘HSE will always be the best university in the country.’
Faculty of Economic Sciences Welcomes New Partner Universities from Ghana
The HSE University Faculty of Economic Sciences played an active role in International Partners’ Week, which has just finished. The event was attended by representatives of 23 countries, including the faculty’s new partners: the University of Cape Coast and the University of Ghana. One reason for the Ghanaian representatives’ visit was to sign memoranda of understanding with HSE University. The agreements will foster academic and cultural cooperation between the universities and establish academic exchanges.
