Sberbank Presents Business Books to HSE
Sberbank of Russia has donated books on leadership skills and effective business planning to HSE as part of Students’ Day. The following global bestsellers were included in Sberbank’s first set, which consists of 70 items: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey, Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman, Family Wealth by James E. Hughes, and many others.
Five sets of this collection, consisting of 350 volumes and 50 certificates providing access to e-versions of the books, were granted to HSE Moscow. Similar collections were also presented to libraries at HSE’s regional campuses in St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, and Perm.
According to Pavel Protasov, GR Major Manager at Sberbank, who brought the books to HSE in Moscow at 20 Myasnitskaya Ul., this collection was personally put together by German Gref, Sberbank’s CEO. He noted that not all of these books are available for open-source downloading.
‘Some of these books are out of print,’ noted Natalia Maximova, HSE Library Director, adding: ‘and, in this respect, we are particularly glad that they are now at our disposal.’
The donated books are available in HSE Library’s reading room. All library users may borrow the books.
