Another 27% of parents are not so categorical, but would likely not pay, while 2% of parents would give a bribe without stopping to think. An additional 11% would likely lean towards giving a bribe after some consideration, and 16% found it difficult to answer the question.

These data were collected during a survey for Russian families with school-aged children conducted in the fall of 2013 as part of the Higher School of Economics’ Monitoring of Education Markets and Organizations (MEMO) together with the Public Opinion Foundation. The news bulletin for the research is planned to be published in the second half of 2014.
