On September 10th the first after-summer seminar ‘Actual Research and Developments in Education’, took place as organized by the HSE Institute for Educational Studies. Sir Michael Barber, member of the HSE International Advisory Committee, spoke on ‘Oceans of Innovation: the Atlantic, the Pacific, Global Leadership and the Future of Education’.
Baltic Practice 2012
The HSE’s Baltic Practice Summer School has just finished in Klaipeda and Kaunas. Once again, the school was run in conjunction with Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania).
University Open Day
From the very beginning, the Higher School of Economics has been unique among Russian universities in terms of its openness to the world, and a recent open air day in Gorky Park is just one more example of this. For the first time, not only prospective students and their parents, but literally the ‘man in the street’ were all able to get information about the HSE, attend lectures by some of the best professors and guest experts, and, the most important, to actually see the people who make up the university. And all of this happened in a place named ‘HSE Land’ by the organizers, in the open air on the bank of the Moskva River in a beautiful park setting.

The 7th International ‘Changing Europe’ Summer School took place at the start of August in Moscow. The event was organized by the Higher School of Economics and the University of Bremen Research Centre for East European Studies.
HSE Experts have Become Members of a Council under the Russian Government
The list of members of the Expert Council under the RF Government has been approved. Its 200 members include staff from the Higher School of Economics.
