The participants discussed opportunities for cooperation between the universities, and agreed that the University of Turin would become one of the main international partners of the recently established International Laboratory of Law and Development at the HSE.
Total Dictation 2014 at the HSE
On April 12, 2014, Total Dictation took place at the HSE – an all-Russian event to check literacy. Those interested in checking their level of Russian grammar skills participated in 350 cities spread over 45 countries. HSE campuses were among some of the venues used for this dictation.
The HSE First Spring Ball at Izmailovo Kremlin
On April 12, 2014 the first HSE spring ball, organized by HSE students from the Faculty of Economics, took place at the Izmailovo Kremlin. About 150 elegantly dressed young ladies and gentlemen danced the waltz and Polonaise, Quadrilles and other ballroom classics.
About the Future of Corpus Technologies
The International Conference ‘Corpus Technologies and Computational Methods in Contemporary Humanities’ - ConCorT Junior – at the HSE Nizhny Novgorod on April 11-12, 2014 will bring together young researchers who work to advance computer technology in the humanities. An interactive exhibition in memory of Albert Camus, the French writer and philosopher, will open at the start of the conference.
