Over 450 international students from all over the globe currently study at the HSE Faculty of Economic Sciences. From December 5–13, HSE University hosted a mini-course in Decision Making led by Enes Eryarsoy from Sabanci University, Turkey. The course was attended by students of the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Economic Sciences, the Graduate School of Business and other departments of HSE University.

A meeting of the Association of Global Universities was held in the White Hall of the Durasov House at HSE University. The participants welcomed new members of the association, summed up the results of the work in 2023 and outlined goals for the next year. They paid special attention to the International Open Doors Olympiad, which attracts students from all over the world. Interest in the Olympiad is growing as foreign applicants get the opportunity to study at leading Russian universities for free.
HSE University’s Online Campus Launches Courses on Three Partner Platforms
Open online courses from leading HSE University researchers are now available on the Russian platforms Lektorium and Edutoria and the Chinese platform XuetangX. HSE University’s online campus now offers more than 350 large-scale open online courses taken not only by HSE students and external attendees, but also by 15,000 online students from partner universities in Russia and other CIS countries.

Daria Tabashnikova studies sports economics and constructs mathematical models for predicting athletes' behaviour. In her interview with the HSE Young Scientists project, she speaks about double-elimination tournaments, her love of checkers, and game theory stickers.

On December 19, the atrium of the HSE Pokrovka building hosted the ‘HSE Is the World’ festival, which brought together over 20 student cultural clubs and associations. Their representatives told the participants about the winter holiday traditions of various nationalities, ran quizzes, and held games. The event was organised by the HSE Department of Internationalisation.
Artificial Intelligence as a Driver of Digital Transformation
In December, the HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge and the HSE AI Research Centre participated in UNCTAD eWeek to discuss the future of the emerging digital economy. One of the topics discussed during the conference was artificial intelligence and its applications in driving the digital transformation of industry sectors. The session was co-organised by HSE University.
