HSE University and TIIAME Sign Cooperation Agreement
The agreement between HSE University and the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers is aimed at developing academic and cultural cooperation, including student exchange. The agreement was signed on November 25, on the eve of HSE University’s 30th anniversary. On the same day, representatives of universities and diplomatic missions of Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Iran, Egypt, and Bolivia visited the university.
The HSE-TIIAME agreement covers cooperation in the field of education and science, the development of projects related to academic mobility, joint degree programmes, and research.
TIIAME Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Abdulhakim Salokhiddinov drew attention to the fact that both universities have chosen ‘Non scholae, sed vitae discimus’ (‘We do not learn for school, but for life’) as their motto. He added that this confirms the similar positions and aspirations of the two universities, as well as the strong partnership built on mutual understanding and respect.
Director of the TIIAME Lyceum ‘International House Tashkent’ Alisher Tillaev called HSE ‘the best brand’ and one of the key partners helping schools in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
HSE Vice Rector Victoria Panova said that the meeting and signing of the agreement on the day of HSE’s 30th anniversary will bring new opportunities for long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation between the universities and will be a step forward in strengthening good neighbourly relations between Russia and Uzbekistan. Today, HSE University cooperates with 11 partner organisations in Uzbekistan, including four universities and five schools.
On November 25, in addition to the delegation of Uzbekistan, representatives of foreign universities and diplomatic missions of Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Iran, Egypt, and Bolivia also visited HSE University. The prospects of cooperation in the field of healthcare, biotechnology, economics and other sciences were discussed in the framework of communication with the diplomatic corps.

She thanked the embassy staff for their interest in the dialogue with HSE University and noted the importance of interaction with diplomatic missions to promote scientific and educational collaboration.
