Joint Department with the Bank of Russia Opens at HSE University
The Bank of Russia and HSE University have agreed to establish a joint department. The decision was approved by HSE Academic Council. Ksenia Yudaeva, First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia, was appointed Head of the Department.
In the new 2021/22 academic year, HSE University will start integrating the department’s educational content into the university's courses in the form of lectures and master classes.

‘The work of the joint department will help us update degree programmes that train professionals in the fields important for the Bank of Russia, taking into account modern requirements. One of the key tasks of the department is to ensure participation of the Bank of Russia experts in various degree programmes of the university.’
According to Yudaeva, the Bank of Russia pays great attention to cooperation with universities in a number of areas, such as training of specialists for the financial sector in the field of financial inclusion and financial literacy, research and educational activities, innovations, information technology, and security. The department plans to participate in the development of educational content for HSE faculties in these and other areas. Not only quality degree programmes, but also the network of regional campuses is one of HSE University’s advantages.
