HSE Perm Student Named Best MA student at the University of Essex
Yury Gritsyuk, an MA student on the joint Business Strategies in a Global Environment programme run by HSE Perm and the University of Essex (UK) was awarded the prize as the best student on the Essex Business School programme (Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, World Economy groups).
The award is given annually to the best MA student. Yury shares his thoughts on winning: ‘Frankly, the BA at HSE Perm was harder than in the UK. Here the approach is different. I tried to do all the work, do all the reading, answer in class, take part in discussions, but never expected to be the best. There are some great students on our course.’
Yury is now working on his MA dissertation, about public private partnership’s role in managing water supply and outflow, taking Perm as an example. ‘Since I am studying the MA programme Public Administration at HSE Perm, I needed to find subjects that bring together economics and state governance. In my dissertation I look at economic mechanisms and state regulation in water supply and outflow,’ he said.
Last year a student from HSE Perm, Dmitry Sidorenko, was also voted the best student on the MA programme Business Strategies in a Global Environment.
