International Students Invited to Apply to HSE

International admissions for HSE’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes are now open. This year, HSE is inviting applications for 80 Bachelor’s and 166 Master’s programmes across its four campuses. A number of programmes are taught in English and offer double-degree opportunities. International students can apply online. Early applications may be eligible for scholarships and tuition fee waivers.

Bachelor’s programmes

In 2019/20 academic year, HSE will be offering nine English-taught Bachelor’s programmes - six at HSE Moscow and three at HSE Saint Petersburg. There are four double or parallel degree programmes with the University of London and a double-degree programme with Kyung Hee University at HSE Moscow. Two HSE St Petersburg programmes have a double-degree track with University of Rome Tor Vergata.

Furthermore, HSE Moscow is launching a unique programme in Russian Studies which will focus on major characteristics and trends of social, cultural, economic and political development of Russia and its regional diversity

To apply, it is necessary to register online, submit an application and then take distance or on-site exams. Besides, you can participate in International Youth Olympiad and qualify for a scholarship or early admission.

Master’s programmes

Thirty one HSE’s Master’s programmes are taught entirely in English. HSE Moscow runs 24 English-taught programmes, including three new ones – in International News Production, Russian Studies, and Law of International Trade, Finance & Economic Integration. One new programme will be launched at HSE Nizhny Novgorod – a MSc in Mathematics. HSE St Petersburg offers five English-taught Master’s programmes.

Applications are accepted online. It is necessary to submit a portfolio in accordance with the requirements of each programme. You can apply to 2 programmes at the same time, marking one programme as your first choice. Several programmes are eligible for Russian government full-tuition scholarships. HSE also offers a series of discounts based on the results of portfolio completion. In addition, you can take part in Open Doors Olympiad and gain tuition-free admission to HSE.

Two Additional HSE – Moscow Programmes Receive International ZEvA Accreditation

The Central Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation (ZEvA) determined that the HSE Bachelor’s programme in ‘Sociology’ and the HSE Master’s programme in ‘Comparative Social Research’ meet international educational quality standards. Both programmes have been accredited unconditionally for six years.

HSE Student Joins Extended Ranks of the Worldskills Russia National Team

How Will the New Academic Year Start for International Students?

Classes will begin on-campus on September 1 (for some graduate programmes on October 1), and wearing masks in university buildings and dormitories will be mandatory for all students and teachers. HSE University will arrange online learning with mandatory support from professors for newly enrolled international students who are currently unable to travel to Russia.
